At Pasta Piemonte, RSE is not separate from the business: it shapes how we produce, package, pass on our know-how and work with our local area.
Since 2013, we have continued to improve our practices at the scale of an artisan Maison: reducing unnecessary materials, reusing what can have a second life, improving packaging and documenting progress.

Our progress comes from a succession of concrete actions, recognitions and structured projects rather than a single declaration of intent.
Cardboard reuse
Turning received packaging into protection for a new shipment.
Cardboard boxes received with certain goods can have a second life. We use a cardboard cushioning machine to transform them into packing material that protects products during new shipments.
This reduces the need for new protective material and extends the useful life of cardboard before recycling.

Responsible packaging
Packaging designed all the way to compost.
Our trays are not simply recyclable cardboard containers. They are designed to the HOME COMPOST standard, meaning they can break down in a domestic composting environment under suitable conditions.
After protecting our fresh pasta, the tray can go into a garden or household composter and, over time, contribute to compost that can be used to enrich soil.
This choice is the result of genuine eco-design work: reducing plastic, favouring compostable materials and considering the end of life of the packaging from the design stage. The transparent film is also cellulose-based and compostable, making the whole pack as coherent as possible.
